IT’S actually been quite sunny here in the UK despite the fact that at some point this week it was officially Autumn. Because of this very welcome sunshine my transitional style has continued with light layers and sandals! It’s very tempting to dive straight into plums and forest greens for Fall but that’s all a bit dull and predictable, I like to keep brighter colours involved continuing my Summer look with a few more layers and longer sleeves. This outfit seems to have taken on a red white and blue theme, not really intentional but it’s worked out all by itself.
I layered a Pepsi baseball top over a white vest, with simple black leggings, the checked shirt can be thrown on when the sun goes down and the evening turns a bit chilly. This gorgeous tan leather bag from Rufus Country is one of those investment pieces that simply gets better with age, I’ve added a vintage bandana onto the strap for another little layering element. The beanie is purely so I don’t have to do anything to my hair, laziness styled in cashmere.
I got some new glasses this week (which I must remember to wear!) and this time I went for large tortoise-shell effect frames, they’re from a site called Firmoo which made choosing glasses really easy because you can upload a photo to see what they’ll look like before you buy them. They certainly fit in with my tomboy approach to getting dressed and add a little geek chic to the look along with these super comfy Teva flatform sandals which I intend to live in next Summer. Add in a mixture of vintage and designer jewellery and a matt red Chanel lip and that’s my outfit sorted. Simple, comfortable, Fall fashion.
