DISTRESSED leather ankle boots are the order of the day today, especially now that Autumn is in full swing. My collection of boots is getting a little ridiculous, but the way I see it when the zombie apocalypse comes I’m going to need them. Ankle boots are a popular choice, especially lace up ankle boots – a style that can easily be worn all year round, with shorts and tanned legs in the Summer or with a floral dress and tights for a nod to grunge in the Winter. I prefer flat ankle boots which look worn in, I’m quite tall so most of my boots are flat, plus I’ve got a lot to do and heels slow down my attempt to take on the day like the Tasmanian Devil.
The latest addition to my footwear collection are these leather ankle boots from Jones Bootmaker. The soft leather and burnished toe give them a worn in look, they’ve got a warm fabric lining to keep your feet comfy and a zip on the inside so it doesn’t take ages to get them on and off. I wanted to suggest a few different ways to style ankle boots, the industrial grey colour means they work well with a cool palette, so I’ve teamed the boots with black skinny jeans for a clean silhouette then a floral dress for a grunge look. Such different outfits show how versatile they are, I love these boots!
