Workwear

SINCE we started Skull & Pistons Garage we’ve met many different people from all walks of life, mostly petrol heads of course. When we were still in our old workshop a very nice man wandered in – his wife was keeping a horse in the stables next door – and after a few visits and lots of cups of tea we found out he has an independent workwear stockist called Largam Works, he loves cars and he longboards. Boom! This chance meeting lead to a bit of a hook-up between S&PG and Largam Works – seeing as we have a custom garage and get down and dirty in our clothes this turned into a pretty good collaboration.

A lot of what we wear on a day-to-day basis derives from workwear, like denim and flannel – most of us are wandering around in workwear inspired outfits. You’ll see a lot of it on the catwalks especially around Autumn/Winter – the difference is we actually work in ours. Workwear layers up really well, it’s comfortable, understated, functional style and we live in it. So I took a few snaps of Stephen wearing Carhartt, Redwing and Filson – all stocked by Largam Works, whilst he worked away on our current project, a custom MK3 Cortina Pick-up…
